Poetry: New Love
The Consolation
by Andrew Chiu-Kit Tsang

You felt helpless when he had gone
I spent my time to console you during the dawn
You said you¡¯ve been not wise
You had been living in a dream with that guy
But he was a wolf in disguise
He left you without a sigh
You felt you¡¯ve lost your future and you couldn¡¯t deny
No matter how hard you tried
You said everything was just like the pie in the sky
You felt Venus had been cruel and would not comply
She took her compassion, shelter and made you not feeling high
Made this disciple of love sadly cry
So gladly by I would fill your emptiness as time flies
Feeling our new love would never die
Late to bring you the umbrella to shade you under the rain
Late to listen to your gentle whisper again
Late to say I love you and without restrain
Late to erase all your worries and help you to get along again
Whispering with my arms around you
I should hold your hands
I should not let you hug someone else overnight
I should have told you a long time ago
I should let you come to me yesterday
Staying in my arms in peace with smile
