Poetry: New Love
My Confession
by Matt Allen

This is my confession, my confession to you
So much time has passed by, but nothings new
I have tried to hide, hide how I feel
But you have to know I love you, the pain is to real
I have failed, failed to know how to love
Because I was to scared when push came to shove
Now I hurt, I hurt all the time
What I have done to myself should be considered a crime
Tried to wait, wait out this crush
It turned to love, a heart suited flush
At night I look, look at the stars
Thinking one day that one might be ours
Moments tick by, tick by thinking of you
Fantasies not real, never to come true
Here I am, I am lonely and alone
Confessing my confession let the truth be shown
This I couldn't see, couldn't see what would happen to me
Now I pray that somehow you will set me free
