Poetry: New Love
Two Hearts
by Bethany

Two lonely hearts
Never finding love
Beating for someone
But not knowing their fate
Two paths that one day will cross
To be afraid or not?
Should they be careful to avoid this?
Or should they let their
Hearts lead the way?
I chose to follow my heart
And it led me to you
Now what you choose to do
With this heart is completely
Your choice
To toss it away
Or keep it close at hand
To let it fly somewhere else
Or to grasp it and not let go
I hope you choose to keep it
For it might break in two
To know that it might be used
By someone other than you.
