Poetry: New Love
Chasing butterflies
by Tim

Pershaps i should never dare to dream
I could catch someone as rare as you
I would be scared I would harm those delicate wings
That flourish free up in the blue

Like so many hopeful fantasies
Reality might not be so sweet
Once trapped, your need for freedom
Could drain you, and make you weak

But if you fly so high above me
Then you 'll always be out of reach
And I will spend my whole life wondering
If we should shared our hearts to each

May be I am just chasing butterflies
But if you ever need to land
I promise I won't squeeze too tight
If you fly into the palm of my hand
