Has He Missed the Boat?

the last few years, it feels like all my friends have settled down and started families. I miss hanging out with the guys, but mostly I feel like I’m left behind. Did I miss the boat by not settling down right after college like everyone else? - Doug, 28
Dr. Susan:
Everyone hasn't settled down right after college. Lots of guys wait until their thirties and older to find the right person to settle down with. While hanging out with your old friends will be different now that they have families, don't give up on them. Who knows? Maybe one of them or their wives will introduce you to someone special. I hear you worrying that time is passing you by, but it's in no way too late to "catch up" if you make it a priority. Better now than in a decade or two.
