Nose Splash

My first serious girlfriend actually asked me out after several flirtatious days and nights of seeing each other around the city. I was 19 at the time and had a major crush on her, so the stakes were high. I was as nervous as I had ever been in my whole life. We decided to go to a movie and get something to eat afterward. Well, the movie was great, with a little hand contact and some snuggling up against my shoulder. The dinner went OK, but I realized that with all the stress and excitement, my stomach was in knots. We went back to my house, and I realized I had to use the bathroom very urgently to relieve the pressure in my stomach. Well, 5 minutes later I joined her in the living room, where we watched some TV and things started to get romantic again. I was feeling great, and she put me at total ease by telling me how nervous she was, too. Thirty minutes or so later, I made my move, trying for a first kiss. She was lying on my light-gray couch, and I leaned in and--splash!--my nose erupted into a torrential downpour of blood. I used to get nosebleeds during hard exercise, and that first kiss must have had my heart going 200 beats a minute! It hit her face, sweater, and the couch, and sent me running to the bathroom, with her close behind. We both decided that the night was not meant to be, and stopped while we were only slightly behind. On a side note, our second date went smooth as silk.
