It was love at first sight for me. I saw her in a store and she was drop-dead gorgeous. I asked her out, and to my surprise, she said yes. I prepped for days, getting just the right outfit and just the right restaurant. When I picked her up, she explained that her mother would be joining us, "In case you are a rapist." At the restaurant, the mother loudly told everyone I might be a rapist and she had to protect her daughter. I was informed that the mother would be on all of our dates, until we got married; then, she would live with us. By the way, the marriage proposal was to come no sooner than three months, and no later than six. This, also, was the mom. I felt like I was entering into the relationship with her, not her daughter.
