A Simple Message
One day while working in my basement, I sent a text message to a friend. She had replied back, and we were having a good text conversation until I typed three little words, "I miss you." That message changed my life forever. She replied back, "Really?" From that point on, we kept messaging. That led to email, and that led to us meeting one night a week. We are both married, and she is the most fantastic woman I have ever met. This went on for months. Eventually, it led to romance. She was everything I ever wanted. She has the most beautiful lips and sweet smile. Everyone falls in love with her when they meet her. We got pretty involved until one day while I was at the store and she was with her family at a party, I did the unthinkable. I sent her a message that said, "I miss you." That time her husband picked up the phone. Those three words caused me to rethink my life. We made each other happy for a few months. Now it is hard for me to be just friends. I still think about her all the time. I still think about a future with her, a future I will never have. She has a responsibility to her family, and they must come first, I know. My only regret is sending that second message. I really do still love her, even though it has been three months now. She has no idea how she has affected me.
