I agreed to go on a date with a guy I had met only once, but who seemed very nice and gentlemanly. We decided to meet at a nearby restaurant and have a drink together. As usual, I was running late and decided to call the number he had given me in case something happened and we couldn't meet up. When I called, a rude woman answered the phone and immediately asked me how I had gotten the number and why I was calling her husband. I was, of course, speechless and decided that blind dates are not for me. I did go to the bar, however, and had a drink with some friends. And who else was there? The guy.
