I met a guy online. After chatting for a couple of weeks on the phone, we decided to meet at a restaurant. He started telling me about his drive to the restaurant when, all of a sudden, one of his eyes started drifting to the side - just one of them. He blinked, and it shot straight ahead again. It totally freaked me out. I guess I had a funny look on my face because he started laughing and said that he has two lazy eyes and sometimes they just do that. Well, it wasn’t sometimes, it was constant. It got to the point where I was just looking down at my plate, praying for the date to end because I couldn’t stand to look at him. Finally, my cell rang, and I was able to make up an excuse and get out of there. The next day, I sent him an email telling him that I didn’t feel we had a connection. He proceeded to call my house for the next week, leaving nasty messages on my answering machine saying that I led him on, called me a ton of nasty names, and sent me threatening emails for weeks and wanted to know what was wrong with him. Let’s just say I changed my number, email address, and I don’t date online anymore! -- Melissa, 30
