How Could She Do That?
I met a woman and she was very nice. We got to talking and decided to go out. Well, one date led to another then another and pretty soon we were seeing each other and talking on the phone everyday. Things progressed; I wrote letters to her, gave her flowers weekly, and fell head over heels in love with this woman. On New Year's Eve, we went to the beach and she told me that she loved me. The next day, she got a call from her ex and wanted to go home. She went back to him and broke my heart. I love her more than anything and miss her everyday. I just can't get over what she has done to me or how anyone could do such a thing to another person. The pain and embarrassment it has caused is hard to get over. I still love her after all that; I never felt the way she made me feel and a little piece of me died the day she left. It has made me a lot more cautious and skeptical of women and I don't know if I can ever leave it behind me completely. I know time heals all wounds, but all I think about is what could have been. I thought she was the one; everything felt so right and turned out horribly wrong. -- Calvin, 27
