I was married for twenty-two years, and then split up. After that, I didn’t date for another four years. When I finally got back in the game, it had been a long time for me. I asked out a friend of a friend named Gloria. She had never been married, so I knew she was available. Turned out, there was a reason she had never been married. She was, as she said, a free spirit. In the restaurant, she caused a scene because they were serving lobster, which she morally objected to. Later on, she wanted to go picket the local grocery store for some other objection she had.
