Momma’s Boy
My mother set me up on a blind date with the son of a friend of hers. Neither one of us wanted to be on the date, so things were very awkward. As we sat in his car, he stated that he was hungry. I said I was too. He drove to a nearby fast food place and got himself food, but nothing for me. He told me if I wanted to eat, I should pay for it myself. Needless to say, I was upset and angry with that attitude. I tried to get over it though and we went to a mall down the street. He pulled me into a shoe store and told me he needed shoes. Slipping a pair on, he waved his foot in my face. I asked him what he was doing and he said his mother always felt his toes to see if the shoes were the right size. He now wanted me to do the same. I politely declined and told him to take me home. -- Carol, 27
