I met a guy at the gym who seemed interested in me. I am not very open about being gay, so I was a bit uncomfortable at first. However, the longer it went on, the more interested I became. He finally suggested we go out for dinner, and I accepted. Within the first couple of minutes in the restaurant, he announced it would be his mission to make me comfortable with being publically gay. I tried to explain to him that I was happy with the way I was, but he didn’t listen. He told the waitress, all the tables around us, and everyone else he could see that I was gay. I tried to tell him again it wasn’t cool for him to do this, but he just wouldn’t listen. I left the date as soon as I could. What a disaster that was! -- Evan, 22
