Close contact and good working relationships are conducive to two people forming a bond that, under other circumstances, may not have been formed. And, whilst that is true of any relationship and office romance, be it simple or in earnest, may not be a good thing. In an office, I met a lovely young lady. Over many months we formed a bond which cumulated in an office romance. It was all good except for the fact that we were both married to other people with other responsibilities. Dismantling the relationship was not easy on either side, and hurt was experienced by families on both sides. Handling relationships is the key. Correctly worked at, great friendships can be forged. Instead, we both sought and obtained work in other areas. After thirty years, I think about what was right and what went wrong. -Gregory, 61
