For many years, I have appeared to stay slim even as I advanced into middle age and gained twenty-five pounds. What most people don't know is that underneath my clothing, I am firmly corseted. I started hiding my bulging belly about twenty-five years ago with girdles and advanced to a tight steel boned corset that laced up the back. It reduced my waist by six inches and totally flattened my stomach. I look as thin as I did in high school. Of course, I must now always wear a tight corset whenever I go out of the house to keep up my phony image. Eating out with people is a real trial since my corset does not permit much expansion of the stomach. I always get overstuffed easily and can’t wait to get home and unlace myself. -Robert, 69
