I've been going to a local salon for several years now for haircuts. In the past year, I have also been brave enough to get perms and roller sets as I grew my hair a few inches longer. Usually, I get a very curly perm and then get weekly shampoo and set to give me a fairly masculine wavy style. This keeps my hair very neat and manageable. This week, my stylist wanted to try something new and surprise me. When the rollers were removed and the curls combed out and sprayed, my hair stood up in big pile of stiff curls giving me a somewhat bouffant feminine looking hairdo. The stylist convinced me that this looked very good on me, so I paid and left. I had to get to my car by walking through a busy shopping center. Several women smiled and said my hairdo looked cute on me. -Simon, 69
