Dating When Moving Soon
Q:I'm currently living in my hometown while I save up the money to move to my dream city. My hope is to be out of here in six months. I don't want to live like a monk in the meantime, but I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking there's long-term potential here. When do I tell women I'm planning on leaving? --Scott, 22
Dr. Anna: Why not try being honest up front? Part of the initial get-to-know-you conversations usually center around work and plans for the future. Just casually drop in that you're here for now and hoping to move next year. Let them decide what to do with that information. Who knows, you may even find some like-minded soul who's out for adventure too.
