J. Geils Band frontman facing drink driving charges
The lead singer of The J. Geils Band has been arraigned on drink driving charges following a fender bender in Massachusetts.
John Warren Geils, Jr. was slapped with counts of operating a car under the influence of alcohol and failing to heed a stop sign on Tuesday (20Sep16) after a minor collision with another car in Concord, near his residence in Groton.
No injuries were reported.
Geils, 70, was arraigned in court on Wednesday (21Sep16), when Concord District Court judge Lynn Brendemuehl ordered the star to refrain from drinking and released him on his own recognizance, according to the Boston Globe.
A representative for the star has yet to comment on the report.
