Gloria Estefan and Celia Cruz images heading to the Smithsonian
Latin superstars Gloria Estefan and the late Celia Cruz are heading to the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery as part of a new exhibition.
Photographer Alexis Rodriguez-Duarte and artist Humberto 'Tico' Torres began their famed Cuba Out of Cuba series in 1994, spotlighting top Cuban artists living in the U.S.
Smithsonian officials have since acquired the iconic images, and they are now on display as part of the Washington, D.C. museum's permanent collection.
Others pictured in the exhibition include actor Andy Garcia, painter Cundo Bermudez, and playwright Nilo Cruz.
