Modern Family creator's estranged wife denied another restraining order
The estranged wife of Modern Family creator Steve Levitan has been denied a restraining order request against the writer for a second time.
Krista Levitan filed for divorce from her husband of 23 years in January (16), citing irreconcilable differences, and their battle turned ugly when she filed for a protective order, claiming he had been abusive - allegations Steve denied. A judge sided with the writer and denied the petition in March (16).
However, Krista made a second attempt to get a restraining order on Tuesday (20Sep16) by asking a judge to prevent him from coming less than 100 yards from the family home. She claimed he assaulted her in May (16) and intimidated her in the courtroom. Her request was denied again, according to TMZ.com.
Her filing reportedly came after Steve went by the house to pick up his daughter Hannah and when Hannah approached her dad, who was on the sidewalk, a security guard tried to intervene. Steve filed documents claiming he is being treated like a criminal, according to the site.
The 54-year-old has two other children - daughter Alexa and son Griffin - with Krista.
