Leah Remini working on Scientology TV series
Former Scientologist Leah Remini is set to tell all about her life in the controversial church with a new TV docu-series.
The former The King of Queens star famously walked away from Scientology in 2013 after criticizing officials' treatment of their followers. Since then, she's gone public with her disdain for the religion and she's taking her truth to the small screen in a new series for U.S. network A&E.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the as-yet-untitled program will detail her "experience with Scientology and her departure - as well as focus on the families of other church members."
The publication reports production is already underway and the series is expected to premiere next year (17).
The new TV project comes nearly a year after Remini penned an autobiography entitled Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, which exposed the the inner workings of the church and its leadership.
Remini, who joined the church with her mother at the age of 10, is also producing the TV series.
