This image from video provided by KSTP 5 television in Minneapolis, Minnesota, shows people standing outside the scene of a stabbing at the Crossroads Center mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota. A man making "some references to Allah" stabbed and injured eight people September 17, 2016 in a shopping mall in the US state of Minnesota, before being shot dead by an off-duty officer, police said. The suspect "asked at least one person if they were Muslim before he assaulted them," Blair Anderson, the police chief in the city of St. Cloud where the attack took place, told journalists. Anderson said the armed suspect entered the Crossroads Center mall in St. Cloud -- a city of about 67,000 people some 70 miles (110 km) northwest of Minneapolis -- and attacked at least eight people. / AFP PHOTO / KSTP TV / HO / RESTRICTED TO EDITORIAL USE - MANDATORY CREDIT "AFP PHOTO /KSTP 5 TELEVISION" - NO MARKETING NO ADVERTISING CAMPAIGNS - DISTRIBUTED AS A SERVICE TO CLIENTS == NO ARCHIVE ==NO SALES== MINNEAPOLIS-ST.PAUL NEWS SOURCES OUT == HO/AFP/Getty Images
