Corbin Bleu doesn't seem to be wasting any time crying over the quick demise of the CW's "The Beautiful Life," the Ashton Kutcher-produced show set in the New York modeling world, in which Corbin starred with Mischa Barton, Sara Paxton, and Elle MacPherson. Many didn't even get the chance to sample the series. It was killed off by the network last week after only two episodes aired.
"You know, I'm definitely sad," admits the super-hot, 20-year-old multi-talent. "It was a wonderful cast and a wonderful project, but for me, I'm always just invested in whatever project I'm working on at the time, and for now, I have 'Free Style' to attend to."
"Free Style" is the big-screen feature he has hitting screens Oct. 9, in which he plays an aspiring motocross champ. He notes that he got bitten by the motocross bug when making the film, almost two years ago now. He has a Kawasaki 250 and rides "all the time," he says.
The dirty and dangerous world of motocross is a far cry from either "The Beautiful Life" or his "High School Musical" movies, and Corbin is happy about that, and the chance to widen his fan base.
"Definitely, we wanted to make it authentic for people in the sport. We wanted to show them in a good light," he says.
As far as his "HSM" pals, he says, "We definitely all still talk, and I caught up with Monique (Coleman) the other day."
Will they work together again? "I'm sure at some point down the road, we will, yeah."
