Ed O'Neill wants us to know that everyone in the cast of his new
'Modern Family' sitcom "is getting along just great. Of course,
everyone is on their best behavior. We're all excited about the show and, well, it's like a honeymoon."
He expects harmony to continue to reign among the cast and thinks back to his many years as Al Bundy on "Married With Children" and says, "We all got along."
He says he talks to Christina Applegate, Katey Sagal
and David Faustino "all the time," and that "there's no one in the cast I don't care about a lot."
He does admit that he was capable of peeving co-workers at times, with his habit for pulling off practical jokes. "We're talking about working together for 11 years, and so after awhile, I was pulling practical jokes all the time. I can't remember most of them now, but I remember Christina didn't always appreciate my black sense of humor. I do recall I'd sometimes make up lines that weren't appropriate to scenes, just to get a response out of someone.
"I never did anything to be mean, but to cope. I mean, after 11 years, how much more innovative and fresh can you be?"
